On one hand, I love to travel and go on day trips rather spontaneously. On the other, I’m working hard so I can play. But no matter which one I place my JORD wood watch on, it makes life simpler no matter what situation I’m in.
What I stand for is living life to the fullest and valuing experiences over material things, hence the name Gypsy Minimalist. The reason I’m so excited to work with and learn more about JORD wood watches is because their values match up with mine:
We are focused on creating timepieces that are modeled after a modern lifestyle. We value sustainability, efficiency, and experiential living. We make our watches for people who don’t just have somewhere to be, they have somewhere to go.
TELLING MORE THAN TIME
The value of a watch is not in being able to tell how much time has passed, but in being aware of the need to make that time count. Moments are bigger than minutes and your watch should tell more than time.
JORD understands the value of my time. It’s limited and, thus, precious. I don’t have time to mess with tough clasps. The closure is a deployment buckle with push-buttons on the side, so it’s quick to put on and take off my wrist in seconds and without assistance.
I’m always looking for new ways to manage my time that integrate seamlessly into my lifestyle. While the watch has been around longer than any form of digital time management tool, it’s still the most stylish. And if you’re a visual thinker like myself, having a watch to track time helps immensely.
My particular style combines fun gypsy accessories that add flair to black or grey t-shirts and jeans. It’s simple and clean cut yet fun. My watch is the Fieldcrest – Zebrawood & Maple. I love the contrast of the wood texture with silvery metal embellishments: it screams Gypsy minimalist.
I also need products that can work in a variety of situations and, of course, be super stylin’. This watch has been easy to pair with anything I have. It’s such an interesting and unique piece to add to any outfit whether you’re going to a meeting or a fun day at the beach.
This watch can go anywhere.
I really enjoyed the experience of opening the packaging for this watch. As a graphic designer, I understand how this can make or break a product. It comes in a wooden box instead of standard cardboard with a top that slides in place. The etching into the wood on the outside of the box as well as a little token tag attached to the watch is gorgeous. The watch itself sits inside the box around a little embroidered pillow.
